Sayena is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Her approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and collaborative, creating a safe space where clients feel heard and respected. She believes every person’s journey is unique and deserves understanding and care.
Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities—such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Attachment Theory, and Gestalt Therapy—Sayena tailors her approach to meet each client’s individual needs. She works from a strength-based and trauma-informed perspective, helping clients explore their challenges while fostering resilience, healing, and self-compassion.
Over the past decade, Sayena has worked in community mental health agencies such as the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and various psychotherapy centres. Through this work, she has gained extensive experience conducting assessments and providing therapy for individuals with diverse backgrounds and concerns.
Sayena feels privileged to witness the resilience and growth of her clients. She believes deeply in each person’s capacity for healing and strives to support clients in developing self-awareness, balance, and meaning in their lives.
Outside of her practice, Sayena enjoys nature walks, gardening, and spending time with her family of four.
