Jennifer Tsz Ching Au, Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, BASc., HBSc.t
Jennifer Au is a Registered Dietitian who is driven by her passion to serve her family and her community. She has pursued work in the front-line healthcare sector since 2013, ranging from nutrition research to clinical practice in hospital and community settings. After completing a Bachelor of Applied Science degree for Nutrition and Food at Ryerson University in Dietetics and a Honours of Bachelor of Science degree at University of Toronto, with a specialty in Health & Disease, she worked comprehensively in a primary care team and diabetes education program and provide 1-on-1 and in group patient counselling for diabetes, weight management and other chronic diseases counselling services at Family Health Team, Family Health Group and Lakeridge Health Hospital.
She is a Certified Diabetes Educator and was a Chair and Founder of Canadian Diabetes Association at Ryerson chapter. She co-leads weight management program at Get Well Clinic and Carefirst and collaborated with NYGH on Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) Group Therapy Program.
Jennifer’s mission is to provide knowledge-to-practice healthy eating habits, tease out eating myths and biases, identify barriers and assets and support building self-manageable, positive and sustainable lifestyle changes to help patients live their life to the fullest!
